FLORIDA CITY, Fla. — A Florida City man with prior indecent exposure convictions is back in jail after police say he was caught on surveillance video masturbating outside a home in the area.
The suspect, who Florida City police identified as 33-year-old Jamoris Eaddy, was arrested Tuesday.
According to an arrest report, officers responded to a home in the area of Southwest Ninth Court at around 12:40 p.m. after a witness reported seeing a man on surveillance video masturbating outside the home.
The report states that the witness told police he observed a man wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and orange sandals standing outside the home and exposing himself while performing the act.
The witness said the man did not attempt to look through windows or make contact with anyone inside the home.
Police said the witness also told officers he has an 8-year-old daughter living at the residence and feared for her safety.
Investigators said they reviewed surveillance footage, which allegedly showed Eaddy approaching the home on foot, stopping near the property and exposing himself before hiding behind a vehicle, according to the report.
Police said they later located and detained Eaddy. He was then taken into custody after officers said he was identified based on the video and a be-on-the-lookout flyer.
During a recorded interview, Eaddy told investigators he was “probably home” during the time of the incident, the report states.
This is not Eaddy’s first time behind bars.
In August 2023, Homestead police said he broke into a home, frightened a woman inside with her children, and then fled after she fired a gun at him.
They said he was later located by officers and arrested on multiple charges, including burglary of an occupied dwelling and child abuse without great bodily harm.
Court records also show prior convictions for indecent exposure in 2022 and 2023.
In the latest case, jail records show he is facing one count each of indecent exposure/ second or subsequent offense and trespassing.
As of Wednesday, he was being held on a $3,000 bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. He has also been placed on house arrest with a curfew from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
