2 detained after cops conduct felony stop near Design District

MIAMI — Miami police officers conducted a felony stop Wednesday after spotting a vehicle that they say was the subject of a be-on-the-lookout alert in connection with a crime in the city.

Undercover officers located the vehicle and stopped it near Northeast 38th Street and Biscayne Boulevard near Miami’s Design District, according to police.

Police said two people were detained for questioning.

Sky 10 flew over the scene, where officers were detaining a man in handcuffs while the other suspect was seen on the ground as police searched a black vehicle.

Authorities said Florida Highway Patrol troopers also responded to the scene.

No other details about the culprits were immediately released.
