MIAMI — One day after arresting five men in a child sex trafficking sting, undercover Miami police officers arrested nine more on Thursday, authorities say.
This time, according to arrest reports, the suspects not only came from Broward and Miami-Dade counties, but one came all the way from rural Glades County, near Lake Okeechobee.
Police said they conducted the sting at an undisclosed hotel with the help of the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force.
Detectives posted an online advertisement posing as the mother of two girls, aged 13 and 15, and told those responding that they “were available for sexual services in exchange for money.”
According to the reports, all nine men were seeking sex with the 15-year-old.
Police identified the suspects as:
- Jacinto Brito Raymundo, 23, of southwest Miami-Dade
- Carlos Adrian Flores Rojas, 27, of Miami Gardens
- Mandy Gonzalez, 39, of Moore Haven
- Oisnel Gonzalez Rodriguez, 25, of Miami
- Creshawn Akcire Lewis-Starks, 24, of West Park
- Frank Carlos Lopez de la Rosa, 24, of west Miami-Dade
- Kalaivanan Murugan, 25, of Doral
- Jonathan Lee Testa, 25, of southwest Miami-Dade
- Jony Esau Zeledon Rizo, 33, of northwest Miami-Dade
Police specifically noted in Flores’ arrest report that he “requested to be a VIP client.”
They said he told a detective after his arrest, in Spanish, “I am not a bad guy.”
All were taken to jail on human trafficking and computer crimes charges.
