First responders rescue elderly cyclist pinned under trolly in Miami

MIAMI — A man on a bicycle was injured after being trapped under a trolley.

It happened around 8:41 a.m. Sunday in the area of Northwest 17th Street and Third Avenue in Miami.

According to Miami Fire Rescue, first responders arrived to the scene to find a 77-year-old man pinned underneath a trolly.

Authorities said the Miami Technical Rescue Team worked quickly and used an air bag system to raise the trolly and remove the man from underneath.

That man was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition, according to authorities.

There has been no word on the circumstances that led to the man being trapped under the trolly.
