MIAMI — Police are investigating a double shooting that left one person dead in Miami on Saturday.

Miami police responded around 12:10 p.m. to reports of multiple shots being fired near Northwest 17th Avenue and Northwest 54th Street.

When they arrived, police found two men in their 20s who had been shot multiple times.

Miami Fire Rescue officials said one of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

Police said one person is in custody.

No further information has been released.
