DORAL, Fla. — The president appeared to be right at home at Trump National Doral on Sunday, walking out in the open and waving to the gallery before watching the action at the PGA Tour Cadillac Championship from his tent.

At the same time, the spokesman for the Iranian foreign minister went on state television to say the government is reviewing the American response to its 14-point plan for peace.

Iran rejected the U.S. proposal, which included an end to all nuclear weapons development.

When asked whether the nuclear weapons are part of Iran’s plan, the spokesman said no.

What is included in Iran’s counterproposal to the U.S.?

Thirty days to resolve issues, a call for a permanent end to war, full withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iranian periphery, guarantees against future military aggression, the end of the naval blockade, release of frozen Iranian assets, the easing of sanctions and payment of compensation, the end to fighting in Lebanon and a new mechanism for governing the Strait of Hormuz.

Saturday night, Trump made it clear that any deal must include an end to Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

“If we left right now, it would take them 20 years to rebuild, but we’re not leaving right now,” he said. “We’re going to do it so nobody had to go back in two years or five years.”
