MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in southwest Miami-Dade County.

It happened in the area of Southwest 102nd Avenue and West Circle Plaza in the unincorporated West Perrine area.

According to rescue officials, an injured child was taken to Jackson South Medical Center and that child was then airlifted to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital.

Authorities have yet to confirm anything about the shooting or say whether they are seeking any suspects or persons of interest.
