Landscaper electrocuted by live wire in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A landscaper was electrocuted by a live wire in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday, officials confirmed to Local 10 News.

According to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials, the man, who was in his 70s, was working in a tree in the 700 block of Northeast 15th Court when the incident occurred.

First responders transported him to Broward Health Medical Center as a trauma alert, where he later died from his injuries.

No other details about the victim were immediately released.
