HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Detectives are investigating a crash that occurred early Wednesday morning in Hollywood and involved one of the city’s police officers.
The crash was reported just before 1 a.m. in the area of North Ocean Drive and Hollywood Boulevard.
A Local 10 News crew was in the area later in the morning and saw that a marked Hollywood police vehicle had been struck by a red BMW.
The crash shut down the roadway for several hours, but all lanes have since reopened.
