Two men injured in shooting during altercation in Fort Lauderdale, police say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Two men were injured in a shooting during an altercation Friday night in Fort Lauderdale, according to Fort Lauderdale Police.

Officers responded around 8:45 p.m. to the 600 block of Northwest 12th Avenue after receiving reports of two men who had been shot.

Police said one victim was shot in the leg while the other suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

Both men were taken to Broward Health Medical Center as trauma alerts with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The incident remains under investigation.
