According to Battalion Chief Michael Kane, a spokesman for Broward Fire Rescue, crews responded to a fire at a home near the 600 block of Northwest 24th Avenue.

Kane said firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a second-floor room at the rear of the home.

He said crews launched an “aggressive interior attack and contained the fire to a single room.”

The fire was extinguished about 15 minutes after firefighters arrived, according to Kane.

He said no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office.
