MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a shooting Monday afternoon.

It happened just before 1:45 p.m. near Northwest 18th Avenue and 63rd Street in the unincorporated Gladeview area.

According to MDSO, deputies responding to a ShotSpotter alert found the man shot in “his lower extremities” and medics took him to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

An MDSO spokesperson said the victim’s condition was “unknown” as of Monday afternoon and that detectives were investigating the case.
