FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A 57-year-old woman faced a grand theft charge on Thursday after the Broward County School Board accused her of stealing, records show.
Prosecutors filed a felony case against Shauntay Poole, of Fort Lauderdale, on Wednesday, over the school board’s accusations, according to Broward County court records.
The staff directory for McArthur High School, at 6501 Hollywood Boulevard, in Hollywood, listed Poole, also known as Shauntay Cunningham-Poole, as a bookkeeper III.
A 2022 Broward County Public Schools ' audit report and a 2017 BCPS audit report listed Cunningham-Poole as a bookkeeper for the Whiddon-Rogers Education Center at 700 SW 26 St., in Fort Lauderdale.
Corrections booked Poole on Wednesday at the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale. She faced a charge of third-degree felony grand theft of more than $750 and less than $5,000. Her bond was $2,500.
Broward County Circuit Judge Francis Viamontes was set to preside over the case.
