MIRAMAR, Fla. — Three girls were injured Tuesday morning after they were struck by a car in Miramar, authorities confirmed.

The crash was reported in the area of Miramar Parkway and South Douglas Road.

According to Miramar police, two of the girls, ages 15 and 17, were crossing the street within a marked crosswalk when they were struck by a Dodge Challenger.

Police said both teens suffered serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital as trauma alerts.

The age and condition of the third girl has not yet been released.

Police did not immediately confirm whether the driver remained at the scene.
