MIAMI — On Tuesday, Miami homicide detectives were investigating a shooting that killed an alleged intruder on Monday morning near the Design District area.

Police officers responded at about 5 a.m. to a home at 4606 NW 5th Ave., according to Officer Kenia Fallat, a spokeswoman for the Miami Police Department.

“One person is currently being questioned in connection with the incident,” Fallat said on Monday afternoon.

The shooter reported firing at an intruder, according to Fallat. A crime scene forensics van was parked for hours on Northwest Fifth Avenue, between 46th and 47th streets.
