Broward County Animal Care seeks loving, permanent home for Paris, other furry friends

Broward County Animal Care seeks "furever" home for Paris, other furry friends Broward County Animal Care is seeking a "furever" home for Paris and other furry friends.

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A 10-year-old dog named Paris is looking for a new forever home after being surrendered to Broward County Animal Care.

Paris, an Akita mix, has been at the shelter for about a month after her owner was forced to give her up due to medical issues.

“She’s very sweet, good with dogs, and she loves to be outside,” said Jodie Robinson of Broward County Animal Care. “She’s got a lot of personality.”

According to Robinson, Paris had been adopted from the shelter as a puppy and lived with the same family for nine years before being returned. Her former owner could no longer physically care for her due to health limitations.

Despite the change in environment, Robinson said Paris has adjusted well at the shelter.

Officials say Paris is up to date on vaccinations and is sponsored through the Pet Project, which would cover her medical care, preventive treatments and provide access to food and other resources if she is adopted.
