FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The Humane Society of Broward County is spotlighting Frejya, a 10-month-old, high-energy dog in need of a loving, permanent home.
Frejya, who weighs just over 40 pounds, is described as playful and lively, making her a good fit for a family that can keep her entertained with exercise and proper chew toys. Shelter staff say she may be a mix of several breeds, possibly including husky, Shiba Inu and shepherd.
Because of her energetic personality, Frejya would likely benefit from an active household and could do well with another dog following a meet-and-greet. However, staff note she may be inclined to chase smaller animals like cats.
The shelter encourages prospective adopters to complete a pre-adoption application online before visiting. Adoption kennels are open daily at 11 a.m.
According to HSBC’s Cherie Wachter, Frejya’s spirited nature makes her an ideal companion for someone looking for a fun and active pet.
