PITTSBURGH — The Miami Dolphins used the 75th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Friday night to select Texas Tech wide receiver Caleb Douglas, their first of three third-round selections.
Douglas, listed at 6-foot-3 1/2 and 206 pounds, recorded 54 receptions for 846 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025. His seven receiving scores were tied for seventh in the Big 12 Conference.
The 22-year-old Red Raider joins a wide receiver group that includes Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert, and Tutu Atwell following an offseason that saw the release of Tyreek Hill and the trade of Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos for first- and third-round picks.
With the No. 87 overall pick, the Miami Dolphins added Ohio State tight end Will Kacmarek to their draft class.
The Dolphins re-signed tight end Greg Dulcich to a one-year, $3.25 million deal earlier this offseason after moving on from Julian Hill.
At 6-foot-5 and 261 pounds, he allowed just two pressures across nearly 100 pass-blocking snaps during his time with the Buckeyes, according to ESPN.
General manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has emphasized that his club will be run-heavy, making Kacmarek’s blocking ability a boost for running back De’Von Achane.
The Dolphins stayed on the offensive side of the ball with the No. 94 pick, selecting Louisville wide receiver Chris Bell.
Bell is the second wide receiver the Dolphins drafted Friday.
He recorded 917 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2025, both career highs.
His 37 contested catches since 2023 were the most in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and he brings speed to a young receiving room.
The No. 94 pick was one of the selections the Dolphins received from the Denver Broncos in the trade that sent wide receiver Jaylen Waddle last month.
Bell, at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, is coming off a torn ACL that he suffered on Nov. 22, 2025, vs. SMU.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the doctor who repaired the ACL told teams this week that Bell is “ahead of schedule,” running at 18-plus mph, and has a very good chance of being ready for the start of the season.
The Dolphins previously selected Jacob Rodriguez with the 43rd overall pick in the second round.
Entering Saturday, the Dolphins’ draft capital includes:
• Round 1, No. 12: Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor (trade with Dallas)
• Round 1, No. 27: San Diego State CB Chris Johnson (trade with San Francisco)
• Round 2, No. 43: Texas Tech LB Jacob Rodriguez
• Round 3, No. 75 Texas Tech WR Caleb Douglas
• Round 3, No. 87: Ohio State TE Will Kacmarek
• Round 3, No. 94: Louisville WR Chris Bell
• Round 4, Nos. 130, 138
• Round 5, Nos. 151, 177 (Dallas), 180 (Dallas)
• Round 7, Nos. 227, 238
