A 29-year-old man told deputies that he had called in a false bomb threat at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport because he wanted law enforcement to detain him, according to a police report released on Thursday afternoon.
“Operations at FLL are gradually returning to normal following an earlier security incident outside of Terminals 2 and 3,” the airport said shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday.
