A stationary front over South Florida separates cooler, drier air to the north from warmer, more humid air here.
All winter long, these fronts have been slamming all the way through South Florida, but this one is stalled out and will hang nearby through the next five days.
While the front will meander a little north or south, the overall pattern looks warm, humid and unstable with scattered showers and storms each day through the middle of next week.

Most of these will form during the heating of the day, however we could see some of those showers and storms at night and in the morning as well.
While the risk of severe weather is minimal, the likelihood of localized flooding is increasing with several inches of rain possible underneath any of these stronger storms.

Overall, we could see totals exceeding 6” through next week before another cold front moves in and tries to push some drier air our way by later next week.
While this won’t be a drought “buster,” it will definitely be a drought “impacter” with more rain in the next few days than we’ve seen all year so far.
In fact, the last time there was a day with at least an inch of rain at Miami International Airport was Oct. 2, 2025 -- over five months ago!
