The heat is on! Highs will make it into the lower 90s today which could tie the daily record of 93 set back in 1937.
The combination of hot, windy, dry weather means the fire danger is high today and a *Red Flag Warning* is in effect for inland Broward County from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Be careful with any sparks from barbecues and don’t park your car on grassy areas. If you’re grilling out today keep water and sand nearby! Fortunately the hot weather will be short-lived because a cold front with a pretty good shot of rain and storms is on the way for tomorrow.
While no severe weather is expected we could see over an inch of rain in spots. Showers will linger into early next week before drier, hotter weather arrives toward the second half of next week.
