After an active weekend with record heat and strong thunderstorms, we have quieter weather to look forward to this week. We are still easing out of the active pattern, so expect a few spotty thunderstorms this afternoon, especially in the Keys and Miami-Dade County. Coverage will be a lot less than Sunday so not everyone will get the rain. Just a few more showers on Tuesday and Wednesday before we dry out for the rest of the work week.
Temperatures will be seasonable in the middle 80s today, but expect a warming trend to begin. By Thursday we will be in the low 90s and will stay there into Mother’s Day weekend.
