Aug. 31: Rounds of rain to give South Florida some drought relief this week

High temperatures will be around 91° each day, which is only slightly hotter than average for this time of the year. The bigger story will be the daily rounds of showers and thunderstorms. While we don’t have a lot of ingredients for severe weather, there is a chance an isolated storm becomes strong with frequent lightning, gusty winds, and very heavy rainfall. Additional moisture in the middle of the week from the remnants of Dolly could lead to some pockets of minor flooding.
