Our soggy, stormy September continues, with an area of low pressure over the eastern Gulf keeping things unsettled through at least midweek. It’s great for the drought but lousy for outdoor plans, especially in the afternoon hours.

This system will finally lift out to the north and move away, but it’ll be followed by a cold front moving down the peninsula later in the week. That front will bring more rain and storms to close out the workweek.

There’s uncertainty as to whether or not this first front of the season will make it all the way through South Florida, but there’s an outside chance we’ll see some drier air, finally, by next weekend. In the meantime, highs will average around 90 degrees through the week, with possibly some slightly cooler air by next weekend.
