FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Classic cars will be up for auction Friday at the Broward County Convention Center.
Race cars, pink cars, corvettes and other classics will among the vehicles up for grabs to the highest bidders.
Megan Boyd from Auctions America took Local 10 News on a tour and even discovered a familiar set of wheels.
"You use to own this car?" Local 10 News reporter Ben Kennedy asked Boyd.
"I did 5 (or) 6 years ago," Boyd said.
"Why did you part with it?" Kennedy said.
"It was entirely too fast," she said.
Another fast vehicle up for sale is a 1981 BMW M1 that's worth a half a million dollars.
All of the money from the sale of a 1967 Ford Falcon Futura convertible will go toward the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County.
"It's a V8 and it's an automatic so just about anybody can drive it, and it's a convertible. What's better in South Florida?" Boyd said.
If money is not a factor, the most expensive vehicle at the auction is a 1948 Tucker, which could sell for upwards of $1.2 million.
"It's one of only 52 Tuckers that were produced," Boyd said. "(It's a) very unique car. It's really something unique for the distinct collector."
The auction will run at the convention center from Friday-Sunday. Friday's auction begins at 10 a.m.
