Bomb threat prompts evacuation at Deerfield Beach High School

No threat found; lockdown lifted

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – A bomb threat briefly prompted the evacuation of Deerfield Beach High School.

Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Joy Oglesby said someone made the bomb threat about 8 a.m. Monday.

The school was evacuated and placed on lockdown while deputies searched the campus.

Sky 10 was flying above the school as students were sitting on the bleachers by the football field.

Oglesby said no threat was found, and the lockdown was lifted about 9:30 a.m.
