Miami-Dade schools police investigating after explicit photos shared

Father says daughter target of prank

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The Miami-Dade Schools Police Department is investigating after sexually charged photos were passed around a high school.

Local 10 News spoke with a father who said his daughter is so upset by what happened, she doesn't even want to go back to school.

"She was very scared when she walked into school in the morning," the father said. "Everybody started looking at her in a different way."

He asked that his face not be shown, and he told Local 10 News that his daughter, a student at North Miami Beach Senior High School, was the target of a disturbing and sexually explicit prank.

"Her name had been involved on a Snapchat deal showing pornographic pictures and videos of different school students," he said.

The image, which was seen by countless students on the popular mobile-based app Snapchat, shows two people having sexual intercourse, and the user claims that the woman in the photo is the man's daughter.

"The picture, it's very evident that it's not our daughter," the father said. "It's very evident. I mean, there's no question about it."

Police confirm that they are investigating the incident, which may involve nearly a dozen students.

"It's important to bring the (people responsible) for exposing this and ruining so many people's lives, making them accountable for their actions and prosecute them so other people, other kids, learn that this is not correct," the father said.
