Vimeo: 'Biscayne World' among 'world's best videos'

Miami graffiti writer finds success with animation

MIAMI – Vimeo recognized a short film about Miami's Biscayne Boulevard as one of "the world's best videos" Tuesday.

"Biscayne World" -- one of the 29 short films showing at the Miami International Film Festival --  was listed among the video-sharing service's top "Staff Picks."

For 10 minutes and 57 seconds, the illustrations of Hialeah artist David Anasagasti, better known as graffiti writer "Ahol Sniffs Glue," are an ode to the wild city.

The short film "is fantastic," Doug Klinger, said co-founder of IMVDb and curator at Vimeo. It is "featured in a ton of our [Vimeo] curated categories. It fits in so many."

Anasagasti, also known as "Alouishous San Gomma," worked with Borscht's Michael Arcos and Marnie Ellen on this film with the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
