Coconut Grove Arts Festival begins with clear skies

Peacock Park turns into haven for art lovers, foodies, fun music

COCONUT GROVE, Fla. – This weekend's 54th annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival began on Saturday morning with perfect Miami weather and will run through Monday afternoon.

Organizers said the art work presented under the tents lined up on South Bayshore Drive, Pan American Drive and McFarlane Road represent about 360 artists from all over the world. 

The outdoor festival aims to please art lovers and foodies. It will also offer a musical line up -- including Locos Por Juana, PALO! and Suenalo -- and a a record-breaking "Arroz con Pollo" with Chef Pepin. 

The festival has $75 tickets for a Bayside VIP area at Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Rd. The ticket includes a complimentary drink with light bights from 1 to 4 p.m.. 

The festival's Food Pavilion at Myers Park will be hosting The Art of Beer Sensory until 1 p.m., on Saturday, The Wine, Cheese & Chocolate event at 2 p.m. On Sunday, The Women 4 Wellness event is at 12 p.m., and The Blue Moon & Seafood event at 2 p.m.  

The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday to Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday. General admission tickets are $15 per person. Children ages 12 and younger don't require a ticket. Culinary event tickets are $65 and include the entrance to the festival. Tickets for The Palette Breakfast are $100.
