If you're running down a dream of seeing Tom Petty in concert, look no further than West Palm Beach, where the Gainesville-born musician will spend Cinco de Mayo with the Heartbreakers performing for fans at the Perfect Vodka Ampitheatre. Eagles rocker Joe Walsh opens for Petty.

Music lovers could spend the weekend in West Palm Beach, where two days of SunFest are already in the books. The 36th annual downtown waterfront music festival always touts an eclectic lineup. Friday night's performers include Flo Rida and Ziggy Marley. Night Ranger, Loverboy, Filter and 3 Doors Down are just some of the musicians to appear Saturday. Christopher Cross and Steve Winwood are among the headliners to close out the festival Sunday.

The Rolling Loud Festival returns to Bayfront Park in downtown Miami this weekend. However, if you don't have a ticket, you're out of luck. The festival is sold out.

Movies

The summer movie season begins with the newest Marvel movie sequel, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel return (sort of) to theaters.

Sports

The Miami Marlins may be away for a weekend series at the New York Mets, but baseball fans can still get their fix in Coral Gables, where the University of Miami will host Bethune-Cookman in its final non-conference series of the season. The Hurricanes (22-22) are fighting to keep their 44-year postseason streak alive, but they're 32-5 all-time against the Wildcats.

Watching winning baseball at Mark Light Field hasn't come often this season, but if recent history is any indicator, the Hurricanes should find success this weekend. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Sunday's first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Entertainment

The Ford Lauderdale Air Show (because it is sponsored by Ford, get it?) takes to the sky this weekend in Fort Lauderdale Beach. The Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds are the featured attraction.

Drivers traveling to the air show from Miami-Dade County should be advised about changes to the northbound Interstate 95 express lanes. The northbound entrance to the express lanes is being moved and will impact your weekend commute.
