Former South Florida home of 70s star David Cassidy available for rent

HARBOR BEACH, Fla. – With the news that former teen heartthrob David Cassidy is currently hospitalized in critical conditions with organ failure, many of his fans are thinking of him and looking for ways to get closer to the star.

Two years ago, Cassidy auctioned off his Fort Lauderdale Mansion in Bankruptcy proceedings. The 6500 square foot luxury home sold for over two million dollars.

The buyers were big Cassidy fans and if you stopped by today, you would think Cassidy still lived there.

Local 10's Neki Mohan got a tour of the renovated Harbor Beach home, now called Casa De Mayan.

It is the vacation home of the couple that purchased it and available for rent by those who can afford it’s $1,200/night price tag. Inside it is a shrine to Cassidy in his heyday.

Property Manager Ray Davis gave us a tour of the 6 bedroom home and all it’s memorabilia.

From his first RCA record in 1975, to numerous pictures from his Partridge Family days, the walls are plastered with fun moments from all decades of Cassidy’s life. In the Foyer, his personal piano and in the kitchen a ceramic plate made and signed by his son beau.

Many of the Cassidy’s furniture was sold along with the home, including the writing desk in a secluded room that he often used.

The house  has 6 bedrooms, 6 and half baths and since it changed hands has had many visitors from near and far.

The owners of the home says their thoughts are with Cassidy’s family at this time.

“They wanna give their comfort and prayers to the family and wish him a fast recovery,” said Davis.
