'Delta'Ā by Mumford and Sons

It's hard to believe that Mumford and Sons released their fourth studio album earlier this month, as it doesn't seem so long ago that the quartet from England first broke onto the scene with their acoustic guitars and banjos. Mumford and Sons' style of alternative folk music has shifted as time has gone on (more electric guitars, basically), but the haunting lyrics and boot-stomping rhythmsĀ are still here for "Delta."Ā

'Interstate Gospel'Ā by Pistol Annies

Country superstar Miranda Lambert is back with her best girlfriends Ashley Monroe andĀ Angaleena Presley to form their super group Pistol Annies, and they're back with their third album. Called "Interstate Gospel," each song is about a woman who is just trying to get by the best way she can. Lambert, who is one of country music's best songwriters, comes more to life and writes so much deeper when she's with Monroe and Presley. What started as a side project to the ladies' solo careers should just become aĀ full-time gig at this point. This is one of the best country albums of the year.Ā

'Origins'Ā by Imagine DragonsĀ

If there is one thing that Imagine Dragons have excelled at doing it'sĀ producing radio-ready pop/rock songs with larger-than-life choruses and catchy melodies. The band's sound hasn't changed much since the band hit it big with "Radioactive," but they still know how to produce a hit.Ā

'Live At The Capitol Theater'Ā by Sheryl Crow

After listening to Sheryl Crow's live album from her 2017 tour at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York, I have decided that every artist needs to release a live album at some point in their career. It's such a treat to hear the songs that shaped and defined Crow's career, like album opener "Everyday Is a Winding Road" to "All I Wanna Do," which came out 25 years ago.Ā

'LM5'Ā by Little Mix

To the people of the world who enjoy fine pop music, please give England's Little Mix a chance. The group formed in 2011 after performing together and winningĀ the eighth season of "The X Factor" in the UK. Their fifth album "LM5" is a wonderful blend of pop and R&B, and its lead single, featuring Nicki Minaj, is a banger.Ā
