MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Influential hip-hop artist Lil Wayne may have grown up in New Orleans’s impoverished 17th Ward, but despite his rough start in life, he’s achieved success and is often regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
Lil Wayne, who turned 40 on Sept. 25, took a shine to the Miami Beach scene, buying a house on the 35-acre Allison Island.

The residence’s seven bedrooms boast the master suite which offers dual baths, a walk-in closet, a sitting area, and a private terrace.
A second junior suite also has its own terrace for gazing at the oceanfront.

You may remember that as one of the final acts of President Donald Trump’s term, he granted clemency to several notable celebrities including Lil Wayne.
Trump granted a full pardon to the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. The pardon was granted after Lil Wayne was charged with possession of a firearm.
On Dec. 23, 2019, an anonymous tip led Miami police officers and federal agents to board the rapper’s Gulfstream V jet at Opa-Locka Executive Airport after a trip from California. Agents reported finding a gold-plated .45-caliber Glock handgun with a pearl grip in a Coach bag aboard the jet. He pled guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a federal offense that carried a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
Trump noted in the White House’s official statement about the pardon that “Mr. Carter has exhibited . . . generosity through commitment to a variety of charities, including donations to research hospitals and a host of food banks.”
