Hollywood, FLA ā€“ Smiths devotees were mingling with Miami Dolphins fans celebrating the teamā€™s thumping of the New York Giants at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood on Sunday, Oct. 8.

Steven Patrick Morrissey, who performs under just his last name, turned 64 this year and he is celebrating 40 years of music with this tour!

The audience was made up of fans young and old who were treated to a blur of music and images; ostensibly a collage of many of the cultural influences that helped shape Morrissey as a songwriter and performer.

Then, just after 9 p.m. The Moz hit the stage, kicking the night off with ā€œSuedeheadā€; Morrisseyā€™s first solo record released in 1988 after the Smiths broke up!

Fans were singing along with hits from throughout Morrisseyā€™s long career, from the synthy, New Age sound of ā€œHow Soon Is Now?ā€ to ā€œThe Night Pop Droppedā€!

The Moz opened the show with "Suedehead", his first solo hit after leaving the Smiths in 1988. (WPLG)
