LONDRES (AP). – Iga Swiatek ganó su primer campeonato de Wimbledon el sábado con una victoria por 6-0, 6-0 sobre Amanda Anisimova en la primera final femenina del torneo en 114 años en la que una jugadora no logró ganar ni un solo juego.
La victoria de Swiatek en una tarde soleada y ventosa en la Cancha Central duró solo 57 minutos y le dio a Swiatek su sexto título de Grand Slam en total. Ahora tiene un récord de 6-0 en partidos por títulos importantes.

La polaca de 24 años terminó con una ventaja de 55-24 en puntos totales y la acumuló a pesar de necesitar producir solo 10 golpes ganadores. Anisimova estuvo inestable desde el principio y cometió 28 errores no forzados.
