After Fidel Castro's death, restaurant gives free Cuba Libres, cafecitos

Sergio's hosts 'Cuba Libre Celebration' on Saturday

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – After Raul Castro announced Fidel Castro died on Friday night, the owners of Sergio's Cuban Kitchen & Bar franchise decided to host a "Cuba Libre Celebration" on Saturday. 

Customers of the Cuban restaurants in Pembroke Pines and Doral will get free Cuban "cafecitos." And with the purchase of any entree at any of their eight restaurants in South Florida, adults will get a free Cuba Libre cocktail.

Sergio's CEO Carlos Gazitua said he realized many Cuban families in Miami "awoke today with hope for the future." And many of them have dined at their restaurant for decades.
