Makes about 6 tacos
1 New York Strip Steak 12-14 ounces
Salt and pepper
Season the steak well with salt and pepper and grill until your desired doneness. Set aside to rest while you prepare the taco.
Fresh or purchased corn tortillas
About 1½ cups string cheese, finely shredded
¼ cup queso fresco
¼ cup sour cream
½ cup tomatillo salsa (prepared, reference recipe already online at soflotaste.com)
Heat the tortilla in a nonstick pan. Top with about ¼ cup of the shredded string cheese and allow to melt. Remove the tortilla, top with sliced steak, avocado, queso fresco, sour cream and tomatillo salsa.
