KSAZ reports Murietta had her sister take her to urgent care after feeling sick on Sunday. The center allegedly diagnosed Murietta with the flu and sent her home with flu medications.

After things got worse overnight, Murietta's mother took her to the hospital Monday morning when she had difficulty breathing.

"Her oxygen levels were low. They took an x-ray around 9 that morning, and they told her she had pneumonia, and it kind of just went down hill after that," Murietta's aunt, Stephanie Gonzales, told the station.

Hours later, doctors failed to resuscitate Murrieta when her heart stopped while hooked up to a ventilator.

Murrieta's family has set up a GoFundMe page to assist with funeral expenses.
