SUNRISE, Fla. - In Florida there are more than 136,000 survivors of traumatic brain injury. Some were injured during a car crash, or a fall from a bicycle. Others got hurt while playing sports.

The Brain Injury Association of Florida has been working to get them resources and raise awareness on prevention since 1985.

On Saturday, the advocates will team up with HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital for the annual "WalkAbout Brain Injury" at 8 a.m., in the athletic complex at 11501 NW 44 St., in Sunrise.
