Meeting Called To Replace Suspended Commissioner

An emergency meeting was called Monday to discuss filling the seat vacated when a Tamarac City Commissioner was suspended.

Last week, Gov. Charlie Crist suspended Patricia Atkins-Grad after she was charged with eight corruption related felonies. Atkins-Grad is accused of taking over $6,000 from a couple of developers in exchange for her vote on their project.

On Monday, the city attorney will discuss the process for filling Atkins-Grad?s seat. The meeting gets under way at 10 a.m. at the Commission Chambers, 7525 N.W. 88th Ave.
