Yet another blow to soap fans. First, the announcement that the long-running soaps "All My Children" and "One Life To Live" were being cut from the ABC daytime lineup for good after decades on the air. Now there is word that actress Susan Lucci will not be reprising her role as Erica Kane once "All My Children" heads online.
According to TVLine.com, Lucci has rejected an offer from Prospect Park, the production company that gained the rights to continue both soap operas online once the shows end on ABC.

Lucci has starred as Erica Kane since the show began in 1970. She has publicly denounced the network's decision to cut the show. In her book "All My Life: A Memoir," the Daytime Emmy winner criticizes ABC Daytime head Brian Frons by writing that he has a "fatal combination of ignorance and arrogance.'
But all is not lost. Prospect Park announced Tuesday that several cast members of "One Life To Live" have signed on for the show's web version. Erika Slezak (who plays Victoria Davidson Banks), Michael Easton (John McBain), Kassie DePaiva (Blair) and Ted Ting (Tomas) are all said to be on board.
The last episode of "All My Children" airs Sept. 21 on ABC. The final episode of "One Life To Live" airs Jan. 20, 2012.
