Suspect Arrested In 2009 Triple Killing

Police: Survivor Identified Suspect In Lineup

MIRAMAR, Fla. – A suspect in the fatal shootings of three people in 2009 was arrested after being identified in a live lineup by a survivor of the attack, Miramar police announced Thursday.

Kevin Lavon Pratt, 33, was arrested in the August 2009 killings of 49-year-old Faith Bisasor, her 16-year-old son, Davion Bishop, and 16-year-old Nekkita Hamilton at Bisasor's home on Encino Street in Miramar. Hamilton's mother, Camille Hamilton, was shot once in the head during the attacks, but she survived.

The four victims were bound, gagged and shot execution-style in a crime that started out as a robbery, police said.

In pain but empowered, Camille Hamilton, still showing the effects from the shooting, found the strength and courage to confront Pratt, whom she picked out of a live lineup. Hamilton asked to speak with him face to face, and she said he sat stone-faced and silent as she cried and begged for answers.

"I'm happy that justice is going to be done, but it's hard not to have my baby around me anymore. It's hard," Hamilton said.

Police said that on the evening of the attack, Hamilton had driven from Palm Beach to the Miramar home where her daughter was staying. As she was saying goodbye to her daughter, the gunman showed up and ordered everyone into the house, investigators said.

Hamilton said Pratt shot her and kidnapped, robbed and executed her teenage daughter, as well as the two others.

The attack started out as a robbery, but then the man started shooting the victims, Miramar police said.

"When I saw him, I never forget what he looks like -- never. I remember him very well," she said.

"A ruthless animal -- who else could to this to kids, women? No remorse. We interviewed him -- no remorse," said Detective Steve Toyota.

Detectives caught Pratt after DNA from duct tape used to tie up the victims matched him, police said.

"I'm happy that he's not, that he's never, ever going to hurt nobody else again, ever," Hamilton said.

Pratt faces charges including three counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
