KEY WEST, Fla. – Two crashes at the Key West World Championship boat races Wednesday killed two people and injured two others, officials said.
Big Thunder Marine, a 46-foot Skater catamaran, was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed in Key West Harbor.

The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed the two men on the boat, both of whom were from Missouri, died as a result of the crash.
In the other incident, another boat overturned. The two men onboard, who are from New Jersey, sought medical attention after the crash. Officials said they were not seriously injured.
