Bomb threat prompts evacuation at Margate PD

MARGATE, Fla. – The Margate Police Department was evacuated Thursday morning after someone called in a bomb threat. 

A representative said the Margate Police Department received a threatening anonymous call. 

The station was evacuated as a precaution.

A short while later, the evacuation ended after police determined the threat was unfounded.

All calls were transferred to the Coral Springs Police Department while the Margate communications staff was evacuated. The calls are now being transferred back to the Margate Police Department.
