MIAMI – City of Miami Police are investigating two attempted ATM burglaries, one which was caught on camera.
The attempted burglaries happened at Discount Supermarket, located at 222 NE 25th Street, and CheckFreePay, located at 2905 NW 27th Avenue, between 4 and 5 a.m. Thursday.
Police said the burglars were unable to move the ATM at the check cashing store.
At the Discount Supermarket, the owner said the burglars tried stealing the ATM just before 5 a.m. Surveillance video showed the men rip off the front door and try taking the ATM.
"They just wrapped it up and tried to take it," said one man.
Last week, burglars stole an ATM in North Miami but failed when they tried stealing another.
