30 South Florida companies looking to fill hundreds of job openings

SUNRISE, Fla. – Representatives from 30 South Florida companies will be looking to fill hundreds of job openings during a career fair in Sunrise on Tuesday.

The event at the BB&T Center (the former BankAtlantic Center) at One Panther Parkway ended at 2 p.m.

"At the end of the day, I'm looking for somebody who has a really good energy, somebody who is able to hold a conversation," said Brooke Evans with Northwestern Mutual.

Louis Calisanti and Llewelyn Clark were among hundreds of job seekers at the event.

"I have a 17 year old. It's difficult," said Clark.

"It's been very difficult trying to get by, paying rent and all the necessities. It's very hard," said Calisanti.

Parking and attendance is free, but organizers recommend registering ahead. Click here to find out how to register and find out which companies will be represented.
