Jurors acquitted Atkins-Grad of accepting bribes from two developers in Dec. 2012.
The group needed signatures from 10 percent of the voters in Atkins-Grad's District 2, or about 1,200 names. They have until Feb. 15 to get the required signatures.
If the group gets the required signatures, Atkins-Grad will have a chance to respond before a recall election.
