MIAMI – Tuesday marks the one year anniversary since Miami teenager, Trayvon Martin was shot and killed.
Martin was killed in Sanford by neighborhood watch leader, George Zimmerman. At the time, the 17-year-old was wearing a hoodie and walking back to his father's home from a convenience store. The confrontation then occurred between him and Zimmerman.

In his honor, supporters will wear hoodies during a candlelight vigil in New York's Union Square Tuesday night. Trayvon's parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin will attend the vigil.
"We can make sure that no other parents have to go through what we have gone through in the past year," said Fulton.
Zimmerman is awaiting trial and says the shooting was in self-defense.
