SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. – "Blades in the Glades," a knife and tomahawk throwing competition, is being held this weekend in Southwest Ranches.
The competition is sanctioned by International Knife Throwing Hall of Fame. It's being held at the the Blue Heron Ranch, located at 4801 SW 193rd Lane, Friday through Sunday.

Each contestant throws 80 knives and 45 tomahawks from distances of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 meters. There will also be other related events, including furthest distance and fast draw.
This is the first knife-throwing event to be held in the southeast.
