MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A South Florida woman was fined by code enforcement for having a beer can on Miami Beach, but it wasn't an alcohol citation.
Instead the woman, named Hannah Sentenac, was fined for the actual can that beer was in. This is a copy of the citation posted in the Miami New Times along with the article Sentenac wrote about the experience.

According to her, the code enforcement officer didn't make any mention of the alcohol, but gave her a $50 fine.
She writes she was also surprised to discover apparently Styrofoam coolers are also not allowed on the beach.
They report having a metal container is in violation of section 46-92(b) in the Miami Beach city code.
